HAPPYFAMILY(R) – the leading premium baby and toddler food brand – today announced the national rollout of HAPPYBABYPUFFS(R), the ONLY organic baby snacks on the market. The line consists of three flavors of finger foods for babies: Apple, Banana and Greens. Stepping up its commitment to sustainable packaging, HAPPYFAMILY has partnered with Method, the leading producer of environmentally friendly cleaning products, to create a truly green package.
The solution: rather than produce more packaging HAPPYBABYPUFFS containers make use of redundant Method packaging that is made from 25% post consumer recycled materials and are recyclable after use. The convenient flip-top containers are BPA-free.
“Method is delighted to have established a mutually beneficial packaging arrangement with HAPPYFAMILY,” says Paul Tasner, Senior Director of Operations. “Both companies are passionate about the efficient use of the earth’s resources and creating innovative products to help families everywhere go green.”
HAPPYFAMILY has also formed a marketing partnership with organic food pioneer Stonyfield Farm. Stonyfield Farm will take advantage of its unique synergies with HAPPYFAMILY to have that company’s network of Community Marketing Specialists promote YoBaby(R) organic whole milk yogurts for babies and toddlers alongside its own organic baby and toddler meals.
“YoBaby and HAPPYFAMILY share the same mission: to give added value to parents and the very best and healthiest foods for their children,” says Steve Torrens, VP of Marketing, Stonyfield Farm. The renowned pediatricians Dr. William Sears and Dr. Robert Sears advise Stonyfield Farm and HAPPYFAMILY, respectively, on nutrition and product development. And both companies are dedicated to using the best environmental practices we can.”
HAPPYBABYPUFFS are the company’s fourth product line of healthy and beneficial foods designed to give babies and toddlers/kids the best possible start in life by developing a taste for nutritious and flavorful foods.
“Feeding our babies and toddlers food grown without GMOs, preservatives, chemical additives, high sugar and salt content is more important than ever in avoiding the allergies, early onset obesity and attention problems that are becoming increasingly prevalent,” says Dr. Bob Sears of the Sears family of pediatricians. “Consuming a healthy diet is one of the best ways to give baby a healthy start, and a healthy baby becomes a healthy child and adult.”
HAPPYBABYPUFFS are made with whole grains, real fruit and real vegetables. They are the ONLY organic alternative to conventional baby snacks. HAPPYBABYPUFFS contain half the sugar* of conventional brands and no artificial coloring, no artificial flavors, no GMOs. They are fortified with more vitamins and minerals … HAPPYBABYPUFFS are the ONLY baby snacks with added calcium, vitamins B and D. Noting that many babies are deficient in vitamin D, the American Academy of Pediatrics recently issued new guidelines doubling the recommended daily value of this vital nutrient to 40 IUs (10%). HAPPYBABYPUFFS are the ONLY compliant baby snack.
Founded on Mother’s Day 2006, HAPPYFAMILY is now the leading brand of premium organic meals for babies and toddlers/kids. The company also makes HAPPYBABY(R) fresh frozen organic baby food, HAPPYBELLIES(R) the only organic baby cereals with DHA and probiotics, and HAPPYBITES(R) handheld organic toddler/kids meals with hidden veggies.
“We are committed to providing the very best convenient options for parents while making eating fun and delicious for kids,” says Shazi Visram, HAPPYFAMILY’s founder and CEO. “HAPPYBABYPUFFS is a natural outgrowth of our commitment to help children become healthy and happy at each stage of their development.”
For every package of HAPPYBABY, HAPPYBELLIES, HAPPYBABYPUFFS, and HAPPYBITES parents purchase, the company partners with Project Peanut Butter (www.projectpeanutbutter.org) to feed malnourished children in Malawi and Sierra Leone.
