Pollution Affects Auckland Child Care Centers

Parents in Auckland, New Zealand are concerned after a large area of the city has been declared unsafe for child care centers due to pollution concerns. The problem will limit where new car centers are built but it could also affect existing centers, which may have to move.

The zones have been created by the Auckland Regional Public Health Service. They cover areas within 300m of an industrial zone, 150m of a motorway or truck route, 100m of a petrol station and 60m of a main district road.
