GlamourMom Donates Nursing Tops in Honor of Breastfeeding Awareness Month

Glamourmom(R) Donates 200 Nursing Tops to NYC Non-Profit Baby Buggy in Celebration of Breastfeeding Awareness Month

NEW YORK, July 9 /PRNewswire/ — Glamourmom(R) founder and inventor Line Rothman announced today that this August she will donate 200 Glamourmom Nursing Bra Tanks to the Baby Buggy organization to benefit moms in need in celebration of Breastfeeding Awareness Month.

bfingMs. Line Rothman founded the Glamourmom(R) Company after the birth of her first child when she searched the market for something that she could wear post-pregnancy that gave her the freedom, discretion and flexibility to breastfeed. When Ms. Rothman’s search came up empty she set out to create a top with a built-in nursing bra for total breast support incorporating nursing function and complete midriff discretion and tummy coverage. Rothman’s Glamourmom(R) Nursing Bra Tank ultimately provides nursing women the freedom and flexibility to nurse anywhere without feeling isolated and without exposing her post-pregnancy belly.

August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month, a breastfeeding campaign funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Glamourmom is proud to support the campaign efforts in hopes that it will empower more women to commit to breastfeeding. When asked why Glamourmom’s unique nursing bra tank design is so essential for breastfeeding women, inventor and founder of Glamourmom Line Rothman says: “My goal was to create something that made nursing women’s lives a little easier.” She continued, “My Glamourmom Nursing Bra Tank was a game-changer. Because of it’s functionality it actually gave me and my customers the opportunity and freedom to breastfeed longer.”

During Breastfeeding Awareness Month, Line Rothman will donate 200 Glamourmom(R) Nursing Tanks to the Baby Buggy organization. Baby Buggy, a non-profit organization founded in 2001 by Jessica Seinfeld, is dedicated to providing New York City’s families in need. Baby Buggy will distribute the Glamourmom Nursing Tanks through their collaboration with Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) as well as other NYC-based agencies helping families in need. “We’re thrilled about this donation from Glamourmom,” says Katherine Snider, Executive Director of Baby Buggy in New York. “NFP is a nurse home visiting program that improves the health, well-being and self-sufficiency of low-income, first-time moms from pregnancy through the first two years of their child’s life. The nurses also educate women on the benefits of breastfeeding. For these moms that are under every stress imaginable, a product that can make breastfeeding that much easier will be put to good use.”

Rothman says of the donation, “The benefit from providing women the opportunity to nurse comfortably and discretely is two-fold. The mom will hopefully enjoy the process much more and breastfeed longer and their children will receive all of the health benefits associated with breastfeeding.”
