Is There Lead in My Child’s Holiday Gifts?

The following video from the Associated Press provides more information on the PIRG’s Trouble in Toyland Safety Report.

It’s infuriating that companies that sell children’s products are so negligent with their safety standards. Are they so greedy that they abandon all regard for our children? Apparently the answer is yes. Thank you for sharing this informative video!

We just did an article on this over at Strollerderby that offers more info about how to keep lead and other toxins away from our kids. It’s appalling that we still have to be so vigilant about this as parents.

It is sad that our trust in the toy companies has to be so poor. If they knew how hard this will hit them (in the wallets, where it counts), maybe they’d take better care. Sad that it doesn’t come from caring about quality, but only from caring about $$$.
