Review: Organize Your Reusable Bags with The Tote Buddy

I recently had the opportunity to receive a new product to test out called The Tote Buddy. According to the company’s website, it is “the world’s first reusable bag organizer.” If you’re like me, you have a lot of reusable bags. If you’re like me, you have these bags stuffed in side of one larger bag sitting in the trunk of your car. Okay so you may not be like me in that sense, but that is how I used to organize my bags (with regularly laundering of course).

When it came time to do my shopping, I took this big bag of bags and put it in the bottom of my cart. It just looked like a blob of unbleached cotton going along for a ride in the grocery store. As I headed to the check out I’d have to spend a minute to untangle my maze of bags. I’m not the most disorganized person in the world but I really didn’t know of a better way to organize my reusable bag collection.

Now I have The Tote Buddy to do this for me. Instead of piling all of my freshly laundered bags into one another and plopping them in my trunk (which always leads to wrinkled bags), I know fold them in half and store them in The Tote Buddy. Although The Tote Buddy still goes in my trunk it takes up much less space, the bags are now more organized, and they aren’t going to get soiled by anything that I may put into my trunk (think potting soil).

Since this company is environmentally focused, it would make sense that they use an eco-friendly material in their products. I have the floral Tote Buddy, which is made from 100% recyclable non-woven polypropylene. This product is recyclable, but it is also easy to wash. A little juice leaked out and ran down the shopping cart onto The Tote Buddy and it wiped right off. As a mom, I like easy-to-clean anything.

The Tote Buddy is now a permanent fixture in my shopping cart. What I love about the bright floral print is that it draws other shoppers’ eyes. Typically a shopper or two will ask me about it during a trip and I’ll show them what it is. This gives me a chance to espouse the benefits of reusable bags. Anything to help spread the word!
