Healthcare Acquired Infection – HAI.
Think MRSA, not community acquired MRSA but hospital acquired MRSA – HA-MRSA. A nasty bug that people can catch while in the hospital. This is just one example of a healthcare acquired infection. If you’re in the hospital, the last thing you want to do is catch another illness. Kimberly-Clark has launched a new website, HAI Watch, to educate both healthcare providers and consumers about the importance of HAIs and how to prevent them.
As a mother of two children with varying special health care needs, we do spend more than our fair share of time in the emergency room, urgent care, or other medical offices. The information here is valuable to me, as a mom, and so I’m sharing it with you as well.
