RTG is Back!

by Melissa on June 27, 2010

After a busy six weeks, I’m finally starting to get into my new groove. It has been an exciting few weeks for us here in the Raising Them Green houeshold:

  • In May, I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Multimedia Writing and Technical Communication from Arizona State University. I originally enrolled at ASU in 1991 and after a few years and a few majors, I stopped wasting my money. In the fall of 2007 I returned to school – originally with the plan to pursue a Speech and Hearing Science degree due to my daughter’s language delays. However, that program wasn’t compatible with being a busy mom so I switched over to MWTC.
  • School also ended for the kids in May. Transition into summer is always a bit rocky and this year was no exception,
  • Alex and Ava had their dance recital last weekend. Ava was in seven numbers (seven numbers and she’s only six) and Alex was in one. Both were in the same Hip Hop number and it was great to see both of my kiddos on stage together at the same time.

We’re planning on a volcano themed getaway next month where both kids will get the opportunity to earn their Junior Park Ranger badges at Sunset Crater. I’ll be sure to post pics and a recap after that trip.

Anyhow I’m back in action and should have several new posts up every week!
