If you’re getting ready for going back to school, whether your kids attend the local school or you are a homeschooling family, now is the time to look at greening your back to school routine. I will be writing several posts on an eco-friendly return to school over the next few weeks. Today’s topic is recycled school supplies and this video from Channel One News is a great introduction to what recycled products are out there.
Now here’s a question for all of you – are you considering the environment when purchasing your back to school supplies this year? If so, what are you doing to make this year different than last year?

Fantastic for you to send out this reminder to families, since this time of year the annual drill to hunt down “school supplies” is full speed ahead. Changing habits is tough, but with a little research, you might be surprised at the availability of greener products and recycled goodies.
Of course, this is also when I feel great about online learning because of less need for “paper” products.
