What Are Your Favorite Kids’ Personal Care Products?

I’m working on a new post for 1-800-Recycling.com and thought I’d do a little crowdsourcing survey about kids’ personal care products. If you use eco-friendly, kid-friendly personal care products, what would you recommend to a parent that wants to switch from a conventional product?

For example, I love California Baby products so if a new mom asked me what I’d suggest to replace Baby Magic, I’d say California Baby. It is what I know and the products get good scores in the Skin Deep Cosmetic Database.

When it comes to toothpaste, we are big Tom’s of Maine fans. We tried the Burt’s Bees kids toothpaste and the kids just didn’t like it. Instead, Tom’s of Maine Fluoride-Free Silly Strawberry toothpaste gets their vote. Tom’s of Maine also has fluoridated toothpaste for those that prefer it.

So what kids’ personal care products do you know and love?

I use mostly Green Beaver products for my son (Canadian company). I use the Green Beaver Jr. line of bath products, and the Green Beaver Green Apple toothpaste (he LOVES the flavour). I love this page on their website detailing what ingredients they do NOT use in their products: http://www.greenbeaver.com/ingredients/
